Upstairs at Grand Villa

Twelve tables, second level

Grand Villa's poker room sits on the second level, with twelve tables open 24 hours daily. The games are no-limit Texas Hold'em and Omaha, at several stake levels.

Stake levels change, so the room confirms the current ones by phone at (604) 453-0858.

Grand Villa Casino Burnaby

The building around the tables

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment operates Grand Villa, and its loyalty card is called Encore Rewards. The address is 4331 Dominion St, Burnaby, and the main line is (604) 436-2211.

Inside, the Cypress Room is a private table room. The Grand Arena, also on the property, is an event venue. The Delta Hotels Burnaby Conference Centre shares the same complex, so a bed is never far from the felt.

Parking costs nothing: a parkade leads to the front door, with several outdoor lots besides.

What happens at the door

  • Everyone entering must be 19 or older, the legal age for casinos in British Columbia.
  • Since June 26, 2023, security scans government-issued photo ID at entry and checks it against the restricted list. For guests who are let in, no personal information is saved.
  • Accepted ID includes a B.C. or North American driver's licence, a BCID, a B.C. Services Card, a passport or a permanent resident card.
  • Parking is free, in the parkade or in the outdoor lots.
  • The room is open all night, so nobody will ring a closing bell. Picking a time to leave is your own job.

Playing online instead

The button below leads to an online casino run by a partner, not by this site. That partner is not PlayNow and is not run by the province. It can change without much ceremony, and this site earns a commission from the link.

PlayNow.com is a different thing: the province's own online site, run by BCLC. Nobody pays this site for mentioning it.

Does Grand Villa close at night?

Grand Villa does not close. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

What ID is needed at the door?

This guide does not list one. Ask the room directly on (604) 436-2211 before going.

Where does the Play online button go?

It goes to an online casino run by a partner, and it is marked as an Ad. The partner can change, and this site earns a commission. It is not PlayNow.

Is poker dealt all night?

At Grand Villa, yes: the poker room is open 24 hours daily. Starlight's room runs 24 hours only on Friday and Saturday.

About this guide

Ilse Moreau is a pen name for the small team behind this guide. The site is organised by game because most readers already know what they want to play. The building comes second.

Facts here come from the venues' own pages and from BCLC, and each one is dated. Anything that could not be confirmed is left out, which explains a few blank spaces.
