Slots at Grand Villa Without the Myths

This page covers the slot floor at Grand Villa Casino Burnaby. It sets out the size, the hours and what the loyalty card is for. It also lists what the guide will not say, which is a longer list than some readers expect.

About 1,300 machines, no closing time

Grand Villa Casino Burnaby has about 1,300 slot machines. The floor is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment operates the room.

Encore Rewards is the loyalty program, and the card belongs to it. This guide does not list its tiers or what the points buy.

Some things this page will never do. It does not track payouts. It does not believe in hot machines, and it will not tell anyone when to play. With about 1,300 machines and no closing time, that restraint saves the editors a great deal of paper.

Floor habits that need no myths

  • Set a spending limit before arriving. Decide the number at home, not in front of a machine.
  • Put a phone alarm on for the time to leave. The room has no windows and no closing time, so nothing else will mark the hour.
  • Take breaks away from the floor. A walk outside clears the head better than another round.
  • Never chase losses. Money already spent is gone, and trying to win it back only raises the total.
  • Encore Rewards tracks play for rewards, and that is its job. The card is not a reason to stay one minute longer.

Questions

Are some machines at Grand Villa due to pay?

No, and this guide does not repeat that myth. It does not track payouts at any machine on the floor.

Does the Encore Rewards card change the odds?

This guide has no information that it does. Encore Rewards is the loyalty program run by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, and the card tracks play for rewards. Nothing more is claimed here.
